The Clown, a 1957 jazz album by the legend Charles Mingus tells the story of a clown who fails at their job until they die. And boy, it tells the story well. The final and title track is the only track on the albums with vocals that fit extremely well with the instrumental, which it uses to tell the grim story of the album brilliantly. I do not even think it is Charles Mingus's group on this CD as there are absolutely no liner notes and all the label says is music composed by Charles.Mingus.
